Instruction for CRACKPACK Use
Surface Preparation
The cracks to be sealed shall be saw cut or chiselled
to form a 'V' groove of approximately of 6mm x 6mm. The grooves shall be
cleaned to remove all the loose particles, dust, etc. The groove shall be
sprinkled with clean water before applying the sealing mortar.
Application
- 1 Kg CRACKPACK is mixed with approximately 200 ml water to get a thixotropic paste.
- Mixing to be done in low speed mixer.
- The mixed paste is filled into the groove by gloved hand and the surface finished using a trowel. This is continued till the full length of crack is sealed.
Curing
Curing should be done with moist cloth for 3 days and
then left for air cure.
Cleaning
Tools may be cleaned with clean water.
Limitations
CRACKPACK crack sealer/filler cannot be used for moving
cracks and for crack width greater than 20 mm.
Packing And Coverage
Packing : 1, 5, & 25 kg.
Coverage : About 30 running meter for a V groove crack of
6mm x 6mm for 1 kg. pack. The actual coverage may vary depending on the
substrate conditions.
Shelf Life & Storage
CRACKPACK has a shelf life of 12 months from date of
manufacture when kept at a temperature between 5 0C to 45 0C and store in
the original, unopened bags. All material shall be stored under cover in a
manner that will prevent damage preferable on pallets and protected from
excessive heat and moisture. Do not freeze.
Health & Safety
CRACKPACK is no-toxic and non-flammable. Avoid inhalation of dust during
mixing and wear safety glasses, dust mask and gloves. If skin contact
occurs wash thoroughly with clean water. Should eye contact occur rinse
immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. Full health
