Uni Grouts ADD

Uni Grouts GP ADDis a plasticising, shrinkage compensating grout additive. Uni Grouts GP ADDis a single pack powdered admixture which when added to cement (cement : sand) produces an easy flow, high strength, shrinkage compensating grout. It is ideally suited for grouting and in-filling where a nonshrink, free-flowing product is required. Uni Grouts GP ADDimparts superplasticising / high water reducing properties as well as positive expansion.

Uni Grouts ADD Uses

Plasticised expanding grout admixture

Uni Grouts GP ADDis an admixture for cementitious grouts where a reduced water/cement ratio and positive expansions are required. Applications include bed grouting, duct grouting, non-shrink infilling and jointing.

Engineering Grouts - Uni Grouts ADD

Uni Grouts ADD Advantages

  • High fluidity
  • Reduced water : cement ratio
  • Makes grout pumpable
  • Enhances bond to steel tendons
  • High strength
  • Iron free
  • Chloride free
  • Excellent adhesion
  • Eliminates shrinkage
  • Economical for non critical static load grouting

Uni Grouts ADD Typical Properties

Chloride content Nil as per BS:5075
Compressive Strength It allows reduction of water : cement ratio of cementitious grouts and maintaining flow properties. This gives improvement in strength.
Expansion 1 to 1.5 % by volume

Instruction for Uni Grouts ADD Use

Plasticised expanding grout admixture

Surface Preparation

The substrate should be sound, clean and free from contamination. Concrete surface should be carefully prewetted and all surplus water should be removed prior to grout application. The Uni Grouts ADD should be added to the pre-mixed sand/cement (or cement only) and the mixed material gradually of mixing. Grouts made with Uni Grouts ADD may be applied at temperatures between 5 ºC and 40 ºC. The pouring side should be raised by means of a hopper or grout box to maintain a minimum 150mm head of grout at all times. Clean all equipments immediately after use with clean water.

Curing

Protect any exposed grouts from severe weather conditions during the early stages for cure by the use of hessian, Polythene sheet water application.

Tools Cleaning

Tools and equipment can be easily cleaned with a clean water.

Packing

Uni Grouts ADD is supplied in 200 gms. plastic pouch.

Dosage

200 gm of Uni Grouts ADD, when added to 50 kgs.of cement, will require approx. 20 ltrs of water, field of grout being about 25 ltrs. With a 1:1 sand / cement mix the same quantity of Uni Grouts ADD with the required per 50 kg. of cement, and the addition of a similar quantity of water results to yield approx. 55-58 ltrs. For leaner grout mixes, where the aggregate/cement ratio exceeds 1:1, 2 X 200 gm of Uni Grouts ADD should be used per 50 kg of cement.

Shelf Life & Storage

Uni Grouts ADDhas a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture when kept at a temperature between 5 0C to 45 0C and store in the original, unopened bags. All material shall be stored under cover in a manner that will prevent damage preferable on pallets and protected from excessive heat and moisture. Do not freeze.

Health & Safety

Uni Grouts ADD should not come into contact with skin, eyes or be swallowed. Protective glasses should be worn during mixing and application. Should Uni Grouts ADD come into contact with skin, remove before hardening by washing with soap and water. Should accidental eye contact occur wash with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical advice immediately. Do not induce vomiting. For full health and safety data refer to Product Safety Data Sheet.
