Uni Cure C is supplied as a clear non stainy, non toxic aqueous solution which when applied to fresh concrete surfaces, reacts with free lime and seals the pores, thus reducing the evaporation of water from the mix which assists curing process and increasing durability. Only single coat is sufficient for complete curing process eliminating the water curing.

Uni Cure C Uses

Water based concrete curing compound

For spraying on freshly cast concrete, or newly exposed concrete surfaces after removal of form work, to form a temporary membrane which will retain sufficient moisture for effective curing to take place. Used for concreting generally but especially useful for large areas of concrete such as pavements, runways and bridge decks; also for vertical or sloping surfaces as on towers, chimneys, canal linings, columns and beams, where water curing is difficult or unreliable.

Uni Cure C Advantages

  • Single application : Forms moisture barrier for whole of the curing period.
  • No other curing necessary : Eliminates use of water, hessian or sand, completely.
  • Reliable : No risk of erratic or poor curing and ensures that cement hydrates efficiently.
  • Ensures hard-wearing surface : Minimises risk of drying shrinkage, cracks and dusty surfaces.
  • Easy and safe spray application: Non-toxic and non flammable.

Instruction for Uni Cure C Use

Water based concrete curing compound

Surface Preparation

  • As Uni Cure C is ready to use, no preparation is required for using it.
  • Uni Cure C should be applied as quickly as possible on fresh concrete.
  • Surface should be pre - wetted before applying Uni Cure C ensuring that there is no free water on the surface at the time of application.

Application

  • Uni Cure C should be stir before use to ensure dispersion of settled material.
  • Uni Cure C should be applied to surface of fresh concrete.
  • Do not apply if bleeding water foaming or present on surface.
  • At the time of spraying, nozzle of spray should be held approximately 450 mm from the concrete surface and should be pass back and forth to ensure complete and even concrete surface an should be passed back and forth to ensure complete and even coverage.
  • After spraying, no further application of water or other material necessary to ensure further curing.
  • The concrete surface should not be disturbed until it gets sufficient strength to resist surface load.
  • Do not walk on applied film until it gets fully dry and care should be taken to ensure that the film doesn't break.
  • Under the conditions of excessive heat or drying wind, polythene, sheet may be used to cover the surface after application of Uni Cure C .

Cleaning

Cleaning Equipment used to mix and apply Uni Cure C should be washed immediately after use with clean water.

Limitations

  • Concrete staining may occur if Uni Cure C is applied to dry surfaces.
  • Uni Cure C should be protected from rain and traffic for three (3) hours after application, or until the membrane has completely dried.
  • A should not be over coated with other coatings or treatments. If material is to be applied over the top of a surface treated with Uni Cure C , sandblasting or solvent treatment is recommended as surface preparation.
  • Early application of Uni Cure C will help prevent plastic shrinkage cracks from occuring by reducing the amount of water evaporating. Concrete curing compound, however, will not counter the effects of cracking that may occur as a result of long term drying shrinkage. Good concrete practices must apply when positioning construction joints and shrinkage control joint.

Packing & Coverage

  • Packing : 1, 5, 10, 50, 100 & 200 ltrs. Containers.
  • 2 Coverage : 5-6 m per liter

Shelf Life & Storage

Uni Cure C has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture when kept at a temperature between 5 0C to 45 0C and store in the original, unopened bags. All material shall be stored under cover in a manner that will prevent damage preferable on pallets and protected from excessive heat and moisture. Do not freeze.

Health & Safety

  • Uni Cure C does not contain any hazardous substances requiring labeling.
  • It is safe for use with standard precautions followed in the construction industry, such as use of hand gloves, safety goggles, etc.
  • For detailed Health, Safety and Environmental recommendations, please consult and follow all instructions on the product Material Safety Data Sheet.
